Thanks to Colin Devroe, I got a preview copy of the much-awaited Mac app called Skitch, which comes bundled with access to mySkitch (shows my account). If you love Apple’s Photobooth, this takes you a little further by letting you snap on-screen or iSight camera images, then annotate them to your heart’s delight. Once done, it features a quick upload button below where you can share your creation with other users. It’s essentially a fun app perfect for the Mac, but for the rest of us who want fairly similar functionality, there’s always Choon Keat’s SharedCopy. I’ll let participants at my talk tomorrow try Skitch out for themselves.
Above shows a wacky annotation of the iX New Media Forum I’m helping to plug. If you’ve heard of Jeremiah Owyang or Mike Downey, come on down and check out what they’ve got to share. This event is free for all students, entrepreneurs, new media practitioners (really means bloggers), and flash developers (it’s $25 otherwise).
