Now Hiring: Web & Video producers @ Al Qaeda

bad terrorists carrying guns Careful when hunting for your next job…

Reuters reports that the Al Qaeda has started putting out job ads on the Internet for available positions in web and video production. Successful applicants would be working under The Global Islamic Media Front and be responsible for editing statements, footage and international media coverage about Iraq and other conflict zones where militants are active. Note that The Global Islamic Media Front has been busy of late with its second episode of their web programme, “Voice of the Caliphate”, which it reckons “aims to combat anti-Qaeda ‘lies and propaganda’ on major global and Arab television channels”.

The advert didn’t specify salary amounts, but subtlely added: “Every Muslim knows his life is not his, since it belongs to this violated Islamic nation whose blood is being spilled. Nothing should take precedence over this.” This probably means you shouldn’t expect six-figure salaries, but you might be able to get company issued AK-47s. Now can I have some shoes please?

The Register made a funnie out of this…
