[...] From my previous story on what the Intel Mac OS means for Apple, here’s the actual video of the Sony Vaio going from Windows XP to Mac OS X in three mins. In this short video, you’ll see dual-booting, experience the moderate Mac OS startup time and eventually the speed of operations on this 1Ghz Intel Centrino notebook. Did I mention how sexy this Vaio TR3A is? [...]

When I had the TR3A, it only ever ran OS X in PearPC -- and terribly slowly. Imagine if the TR3A had the industrial styling of the Powerbook (Aluminum, minimal LEDs), ooh, and a backlit keyboard. Better yet, imagine if Apple realized they need to increase their screen resolution, offer an ultraportable, and improve battery life. But, I think this dream will become a reality in the coming years, with the Intel switch, and also considering the rumors that Apple has retained some Sony Electronics talent to help design some new laptops.
